Off for 16 days

Hi there, I've got an opportunity to traveling not-so-around Europe for 16 days. The first 12 days I had to complete my college program in Germany visiting 3 universities and water plants. Also visited a lot of museums, cultural, culinary and shopping session. Can you guess what 3 cities I've been visited? Then, I extended my trip for 4 days to the country near Germany also a tourists must have visit city in Europe, it's the two last photo. Guess where? I'm having a great time there. I will share my experiments later, but in my opinion 16 days were not enough. So, I hope i will going back soon :)

It's Blue time: Uti + Mas Koko's wedding

My best friend Uti was married!! The love story was unpredictable, they only knew each other from 'cable wire technology' before they met. When I met them, I knew that they belong to each other :) The preparation was so fast, but they made a magnificent reception. Two beautiful tradition Javanese and Minang Kabau were become one show as Indonesian extraordinary wedding reception.

We change our high school wedding trophy with Mickey and Minnie mouse wedding statue :) due to under circumstances.

The question was answered on February 5th 2011, Fanny was our second bride. Because of this wedding I can manage my visit to my old hometown Rumbai. The atmosphere of the reception was so humility and traditional. I'll share a few photos.

Hi bloggie, it's been a long time i did not take care of you (sorry). Today (WIB time) is my BF 24th birthday, and he is 7261.6 miles away from me now. Despite the cost for giving a real birthday gift quite expensive (than the present's price), i decide to give him an artificial happy birthday balloon. Approximate flight duration time 15 hours 5 minutes from Jakarta to Aberdeen, how about duration of balloon in the air?

I hope the ballon can fly from here to there safely.

It was so disappointed that during fasting month diving here wasn't open for public. I was so ready to playing with all this amazing creature, but of course not with sharks. After all, we having fun here; it fells like a child again. Playing with touch pond- we can touch baby shark, turtles, so on; exploring the underwater, and also guessing hide and seek with eel.

What i've been done lately

I've been quite busy lately and that time i almost forgot about writing in this blog :( I should finish my TOHOKU University video editing at the same time with my exam days. My desk looks tidy for a while, so I should capture that rare moment.

After those two hectic weeks, I went to Jakarta to get my brain recovery (the engine needs an inducement). I never imagine that Jakarta the city loaded of skyscrapers buildings is better than weekend traffic jam in Bandung. I still can see a beautiful clouds.

Bought new crocs, with Cheshire Cat jibbitz. When i watched Alice in Wonderland from Tim Burton movie i started to fall in love with this character (Stephen Fry voice was so deep, haha..)

And also not forget to full fill my stomach by eating broccoli and cheese from this red hair girl chef.

They cannot call me Jaiko anymore!

Last month, i had a terrible hair cut accident. It had a very straight cut above my shoulder, maybe only 1 mm under my ear. It all the same length all around. And you know what, at first day it really good. The next day, OH MAY GOD! I looked like JAIKO from DORAEMON or DORA THE EXPLORER!! My friends always call me that way :(

After thinking very carefully (I don't want to get wrong again), I decided to give my hair a little bit touch from salon again. I said that i want to make my hair become more stylist not too plain like this :(. Ok then..

Finally i have a super brad new HAIR CUT. And I LOVE IT :)

Realy Hot Air Balloon Festival

On 26-28 March 2010 there was a 1st Indonesian Hot Air Balloon Festival at Sentul City near Bogor. We (as usual me and my BF) went there to complete our mission for practicing our photography skills. At first, we had an appointment with our friends, but unfortunately they were so late. Apparently we were so wrong when we arrived there at 9 o'clock . It was too hot there! Others photographers already went back home with their sophisticated lens (i am so jealous). They were aim to get great picture of balloon with sunrise scenery background.

I wish i could ride that hot air balloon, but when i get there the stand in line was so looooooong. So i decided to bury my desire.

After all, this show quite fun for first time. The only one that beyond my expectation was the show was not held in a green grass yard :( like in Texas.

Hi there, today i would like to show another masterpiece from me :). Actually this session was already done almost two weeks before. We want to use our new make up stuff as often as we can, that was the reason we did this fashion madness photo shoot. I started to capture from the make up moment. It almost took hours just to pick the dress and the make up colors (girls just want to look beautiful isn't them?).

At first, my models were too embarrassed to take a pose, but after a while they ask for more and more. We realize that a fashion shoot was quite hard. The face expression should look strong and sexy. But i think they not bad at it especially Lasti :)

So, what do ya think about this?

Remembered that i had a photo shoot for my best friend wedding? The sessions started since last September until February. It was a long process of finishing my first project. The idea was from the bride and i just helped her to make her dream come true. She wanted a pictures about their daily activities in a month until the day they get married. From Bandung to Jakarta, from my campus to my BF's house. From early in the morning until late afternoon. But it was really fun!!

After hectic hours and eliminating all of beautiful pictures, i choose those picture to complete mya+data's February love activities.

And i want to do it agaiiiiin!!! because i want to see their happiest smile when you made their dreams come true.

While, i am googling in the internet to find my references for my college task, i found a lot of interesting blogs. From sewing, photography, art, and many more. Sometimes i can believe it that people out there had a lot incredible ideas. All of this blogs i love to read it the most:

1. cocomomo, she (from Indonesia) made handmade bags, passport wallet, etc
2. color me katie, she a street artist. Her ideas are so amazing
3. ruffles and stuff, she love to made reuse shirt into new one, especially for her daughter
4. how about orange, i love the tutorials about anything

Monster tissue case

DIY stuff is one of my new year's resolution, but the problem is I always too lazy to make something. Every time i googling anything about DIY project, I always want to make it one so much. So I decided to make it one this weekend. After I googling, I found incredible ideas from Hine flickr. She use felt to make a iphone case like this

I heart it so much, so i try to make it one for my cellphone. It quite easy, all you need is just be passion. I made a monster face with maroon and yellow felt. And then I put magnet for sealed the case. And then i realize that it is forbid to put cellphone near to magnet :( Then i remember that it can be use for tissue case, because i always forgot brig tissue when i went out. Here is my first DIY masterpiece. I promise to myself that i will make it more in next weekend:)

Wowowow.. i would like to share my happy moment now. Today is me and my BF one year anniversary! Yippie!! I can't imagine that we had been trough all over a year. I decided to make something personal to him. I am quite good at drawing but not for caricatures. I only can draw cartoon from my imagination (not in a good gesture) and landscape.

Now, i try to make our characters by using our 'photobox' picture. I start at midnight after i watched my favorite TV show CSI until 2 am. Finally it's not really hard at all. I use crayola crayons because i couldn't find my pencil colors in last minutes. My sketch not really look a like us in some way. But i am sure that it more look alike before I give it colors. Sigh..

I think I'm good enough for a beginner artist :)

I want this shoes so much especially the red canvas one from TOMS Shoes. It made from red canvas upper, soft leather insole, durable rubber out sole, and arch and heel support. I don't know why i love canvas slip on shoes. I already had it one but i was crawling for more..

Also looove the Madrina Classics features a fine corduroy upper in red.

and the Prima Classics features a premium red and purple striped upper side.

But the price is way too expensive for me :(

My room is a mess

I want to share a little about my lovely room. It almost 2 years i stay in my room. It very colorful room and always untidy :( LOL. It a small room and a trapezoidal shape. So i have maximal my space to put all my stuff there (I have a lot of unimportant things hihihi..) I don't have a curtain, it just a see-trough mini blind because i need a morning sun light to enter my room. I wont wake up up late, but i always wake up in injury time :). I love my colorful carpet which i bought from IKEA.

My favorite place is my bed. It is a customized bed, i search in google engine and i found the multifunction bed. I put all my favorite books, comics, dolls, photos and snow ball there. If i get boring, i just look into picture and start to imagine the great days that past me by. I usually do my homework on my bed with my laptop. I use my drawing plywood to be my laptop base.

I put my craft equipments in one area under my college books. It put categorize with their function but i don't label it. I also use a used Thailand chocolate, LANCOME perfume and Harrods biscuits box ( i want to reduce a trash, despite that the box is so cute)

In front of my room, there is a yellow mat. It said that "this door must be kept closed". It never happens because i always open it even when i was asleep.

Me and my family with my mothers big family and also my BF ;) celebrate the new year's eve by playing fireworks and UNO! hahahaha... I am taking care of all my nieces. They are all very nice, funny, and beautiful :)

My neiece, Kanya loves UNO game sooo much. My oldest uncle join this game and he always tremor while taking the uno's block hahahaha... He is already old LOL. Regret that i always make a chaos in 3 roll games (so embarrassing) so i gave up!! I did not think much which block i wanted to take, so the uno was crash.

After i wasn't joining the game, the uno building was very high and fragile! It was a tense moment, until my brother take the blue one and finally it felt down.

Band Hero, Finally...

I thought plying guitar was very difficult until i played this guitar hero games. My BF bought Guitar Hero few months ago and finally he bought Band Hero yesterday. Band Hero games is more interesting because i know almost all the songs there. You can check the song list in wikipedia (i just know that wikipedia is not only a scientific dictionary, it's all dictionary. So amazing LOL). In Band hero, the song list are top 20 billboard songs. I can sing along while he played guitar. He always play expert style, and i.. I only can play easy mode sigh... Easy is still difficult for me because my fingers can't easily move one to another button.

He played love story by Taylor Swift and Wannabe by Spice Girl (remembered the good old days isn't it?) . We thought that sing the song must be more tricky than playing the guitar melody. I hope he will buy microphone, bass, and drum set. So i can sing a long and save my money going to karaoke. Yihaaaaa!

Wow, it's been a year again and 2010 almost come. I don't know why so many people that i know want to get married so soon. We only 23!! Isn't that too young? hahaha... Every weekend i have full schedule coming to wedding party, so i have to look fabulous. I don't wanna look 'kucel' like when i was a freshmen in university. Now, i want to learn how to use make up. I already bought a few of it. Maybe i will share my own make up later :)

My friend, Retno told me that there was a free make up tutorial in youtube. Her name is Lauren Luk e with id panacea81, she video taped her experiences about make up. I loved how she describe about how to use every single make up stuff. She explained details and a lot of style. She focus in the eye (i think it's the important one!). I looooove her eyes make up so much. This is a sneak peak picture about eye make up, because my internet network is so slow now :(.

Last week i accompany my parents to my father's office family gathering. I thought there will be my friends there. I was wrong, there are only kids who come with their parents. Girls Gone Fun

What have been more fun except a girls night out chat? My childhood friend Dilla, came from Jakarta to Bandung and we decided to have a small reunion at Paris Van Java. I came late that night because i had to finish my news project. Its only a small gathering, there were Maya, Dila, and Lasti. When i arrived, they about to move to J.co doughnut to have frozen yoghurt. They were very excited because i always bought a CAMERA!! hihihi.. and of course a fish eye lens. We explore how to use the lens for fun. And finally we had very very close up portrait picture with silly face. It looks very awkward when you see your own face so rounded. (I know i'm fat enough, but not that round :pP)

After that, i combined with poladroid program. It's a software to make polaroid effect. The pictures looks very different, the color were vignette and dirty. Our finger print was also in the picture, so it makes the digital result very look a like with the original polaroid.

Afternoon Photo shoot

Last weekend i took a engagement photo shoot for Yelli and Ule at my campus yard. Unfortuneally, we did not prepare it well. I borrowed my friend's fish eye lens (yippiiie!!!), so i learn how to use it before i buy it. It was relaxing afternoon photoshoot. We use multicolor balloons to made the environment looks more fun. Here i shared a few of it.

It was already dark when we start the session and the picture looked a little bit grainy.

Even we did not celebrate halloween, but we still can having fun with it. We cut vampire mask and witch mask from Canon's creative park. Look at our special halloween photo session with comic book effect. Isn't that creepy enough? Ok, i admitted my BF was more scary than me ;)

We printed in a4 paper, maybe my head is quite big, so my mask was too small for me :(

Ok bloggie, last august i had an opportunity to present my oral presentation in international seminar about my final project from my bachelor degree in Kuching, Malaysia. I went there with my lecture (Ibu Endah) and my friends (Irma, Hendra, and DP). I felt very nervous, speaking in english in front of tropical-expert people.

The most important from this seminar were shopping, sight seeing, and taking lotsa picture. Here i share my picture, so you can imagine how is the city looks like.

Trip to the edge of sumatra island

We always had a routine to visit our family when idul fitri, in Indonesia we call it 'mudik lebaran'. This year, my father planned to visit Banda Aceh because his mother live there. We went there by plane from Jakarta to Medan. After that, we use car to Banda Aceh. It took 12++ hours looong way journey competed against motorcycles, goats, ducks, and cows. Finally, we arrived at my grandmother’s house. In Aceh, wearing a veil is a must for girl like me because Islam law was applied there, so don't be surprised . Let me share my activities there.

Banda Aceh is located in edge of Sumatra island because of that,this regency has many beaches. Everyday, we enjoyed staring at the sunset, making sand castle, taking picture, and even playing banana boat.

This boat arrived over the house's roof after threw by tsunami wave in 2004.

This is the aceh tsunami museum, but i did not went inside because it was close during holy ied fitri.

After Tsunami disaster, there were a lot of help from other countries. To say thanks to all of them, the aceh's government made a statue in their languages. All written as thank you and peace :)

Before my class started, few months ago I don’t have anything to do. So, I started to do my old hobby that I’ve been left it before. I realized that I have a lot of photos. And then my rooms become a mess very instantly. Cardboards, photos, glue, ribbons were everywhere. It was so muuuuuch fun doing this thingy, even I have to spin my head off to get the ideas. I’m Zia. I’m a half time scientist and postgraduate student in ITB Indonesia. And My second half life I use for craft, scrapbooking, decorate, knitting, drawing, taking picture and enjoying many other fun stuff.
